Creating and Sustaining Positive Change - Follow-up retreat

After having a great experience in the Choose, Change & Become retreat, we welcome everyone to this follow-up retreat at Peace Village. We have learned how to transform our intentions in order to become a true leader, and we hope that all of us are implementing it in our day-to-day lives. But howsoever simple it may sound, the implementation part is usually the toughest.

How do we sustain the change in our intentions? What is the method to do it? In this upcoming retreat, as we get together again... let's share our experiences, and get to know ways of sustaining the positive change. "Let's be the change we wish to see" - sustainably

To register, please email: ccb@peace-village.org

In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of Peace Village - 10 years of creating and sustaining positive change

Stay Connected

Now that the retreat is complete and everyone left with high spirits and aspiring intentions, it's necessary to keep that new energy going alive inside of us. It's helpful to revisit those simple and profound experiences in order recall and reconnect to the new awareness of the self found over the weekend.

Video Clips from the retreat!! Enjoy.

  1. Hey Bipin here!!

It was GREAT coming from UK down to New York for the retreat!

For me, I was inspired how the whole retreat went well... Most of the young leaders that attended hadn't meditated before - and everyone took it on very well...

I personally enjoyed the times where we were able to sit down and really think about some of the qualities we posses.. This reflection technique is something I'm going to incorporate regularly in my life...

From seeing how the retreat went, we can take it to another level. I'm thinking of ways we can make it work here in England!

Anyway, don't forget to connect with your local Brahma Kumaris centre - the most important thing is to continue learning! If you learned a foreign language at school and didn't continue - what happends? Start forgetting it all.. So, keep up the meditations and visit your local centre..

Hope to see some of you in the future some time! Keep in touch!

  2. Hi! this is Nagarjuna,

I feel blessed to be able to attend the retreat at Peace village. There were many special moments for me to cherish.I was amazed to find out that there are people on this earth who are living their lives for a different cause. I have high regard to all those people who are trying to inspire the rest of the world to live a better life.

I have no words to describe for what I went through during those meditation sessions.I learnt a lot by being part of the discussions which involved people from different walks of life. The J-A-M moments every hour were great. In fact, we started practicing it during our drive back to Michigan.

For me, I started to think positively, use traffic control for flow of thoughts, try to be more patient. I am trying to sustain these qualities. After I reached home I found myself calm and felt the same air around me for sometime. It slowly got diluted. A mere thought about my moments at peace village keeps me charged up.

my warm wishes to all my friends of peace village. I would love to see you all again.

  3. For me, this retreat was an opportunity to just "be" with like minded individuals whether on a design team or as a participant. I was eager to hear others experiences of meditation, the group activities and discussions, and to really see if what the theme of the retreat was proposing was possible.

I found myself really playing with the qualities we looked at in the first session. Then, during the group activity planning I was seeing the qualities of kindness, listening, acceptance and equality in each one in my group. I realize now that those moments offered me the perfect chance to use my vision for positive change in the world, much more than the activity we were planning.

This is what I hope to maintain in my awareness for the days to follow.

I enjoyed myself and everyone's company, thanks to all the participants and facilitators.

    Kind regards,
    Oliver

  4. Honestly, I was suprise how powerful this retreat was. My firt feeling was a kind of amazement to see so many young adults come and be not only opens to talk about it, but to take up spirituality. Then this feeling grow up and by the end of the Saturday presentation, when we had the chance to have some hip hop presentation, I thought my heart was going to explode. I'm not really a sensative one, but you have reach to touch my heart. I've always been very reserve about my spirituality with friend and relative of my age because I did not feel that opening. But to see young adults wanting to live up to the values they espoused and seing them take step to achieve it was very uplifting.

I come back with more enthusiasm and determination to sustain youth activity at our meditationn centre and give time to create space for young adult so that they can express there spirituality.

I was also very thanful to Peace Vilage and the BK's to be able to welcome all of these energies within Peace Vilage with the feeling that "all is welcome here".

I also have to admit that I felt inspired by the vibration of integrity and tha purity of intention that emanate from my co-facilitators.

I hope we can keep the "ball rolling", for our own benefit and from there allowing all to take benefit. i like to think that this was just a glimpse of where we can reach !

    Wishing all the best,
    Spiritual Love and Respect,
    Julien

  5. It was like a dream come true moment for me. The video took me back to those sweet memories with all the youths. If we can make it happen here at Peace Village, we can make it happen out there in the world too. You chose, you changed and you became...now lets inspire others and make the difference. I sincerely hope that we will have this youth retreat every year.
